PP non-woven fabrics have shown amazing growth space and market potential, so which regions are they?
South Africa
At present, South Africa has become a hot spot for non-woven fabric manufacturers and sanitary products companies.
According to the research report “Outlook 2024: The Future of the Global Nonwovens Industry” released by market research company Smithers, the African nonwovens market accounted for approximately 4.4% of the global market share in 2019. The region’s output in 2014 was 441,200 tons, and in 2019 was 491,700 tons. It is expected to reach 647,300 tons in 2024, with annual growth rates of 2.2% (2014-2019) and 5.7% (2019-2024).
India
In terms of nonwovens investment, Toray Industries (India), a subsidiary of Toray Industries, Japan, broke ground in 2018 at its new production base in Sri City, India. The base has two factories, of which the polypropylene spunbond non-woven fabric factory produces high-quality non-woven materials for diapers. Moreover, as the government and industry continue to promote modern hygiene practices, the demand for products such as baby diapers and feminine hygiene products is expected to increase. You know, according to Euromonitor International, the Asia-Pacific region is currently the largest market for disposable hygiene products. There is a huge but not yet fully developed consumer group, ever-increasing consumption awareness and usability, and ever-increasing consumption power. The Southeast Asian market (SEA), including India, achieved $5 billion in retail sales as early as 2019. And in the next five years, retail sales in this area are expected to grow healthily at a compound annual growth rate of 8%. Although the consumption rate in these areas is not very high, the market for nonwovens is very broad, and countless large, medium and small enterprises have come to build factories here to further expand the scale of nonwovens.
Understand current events, grasp the market situation, and plan your position in the future market blueprint of nonwovens.
